The neo-Nazi group ELAM (Ethniko Laiko Metopo) plans to hold a march on December 27 with the explicit intent to rouse racial hatred. Its slogan “One foreign worker = One unemployed” is directly derived from Hitler’s slogan “4 million Jews = 4 million unemployed”, which paved the way to the Nazi Holocaust.
Following an open meeting on last Friday night at KISA, an ad hoc coordinating committee of organisations opposed to far-right and racist activity decided to call for an anti-fascist march on Sunday, 27 December 2009 at Elefteria Square at 3.30pm against the demonstration organised by ELAM on the same day. For more information, please find attached the press releases in both Greek and English.
The Anti-Fascist Initiative, of which KISA is a member, invites you all to join the march on the 27th of December in order to send the message that we will not allow any fascist movement to march through the town.
