FUN WALK/STROLL/BALLOONS
BETWEEN THE CHECKPOINTS OF LIMNITIS AND PYRGOS

STARTING TIME 11AM Limnitis checkpoint

After many years of concerted efforts the Limnitis/Pyrgos checkpoint has finally opened!
Women Into Action are organising a Fun Walk/Stroll between the two checkpoints of Limnitis/Yesilirmak and Pyrgos/Pirgo beginning at 11am at the Limnitis checkpoint. It is a 6 kilometre walk/stroll in beautiful surroundings.
We would like to dedicate this Fun Walk to all the people who worked so hard for the opening of the checkpoint and also to the memory of the late Muhtar of Limnitis/Yesilirmak, Goksel Kabaran who unfortunately died before he saw the opening he worked so hard for to materialize.

Come and join us this Sunday and walk or stroll at your own pace, for either all the distance or whatever you can manage (remember it is a Fun day!) either with friends, with family, all welcome! Even if you don't want to walk, car drivers are welcome to support the participants. Meeting point will be from 10.30am onwards at the Limnitis checkpoint.
As a colour tribute of the Funday, balloons will be released into the Cypriot sky in between the checkpoints as a symbol of freedom of movement!
